We’re delighted to announce that we’ve selected City Gateway as our 2024 Charity of the Year, with the aim to raise at least £15,000 before the close of the year.
About City Gateway
For the past 25 years City Gateway has been supporting young people who have faced social and economic inequality, helping them to get the skills, qualifications and experience they need to secure a job, apprenticeship or to go on to further education.
With a core belief that no-one should be at a disadvantage simply because of where they have grown up or because of the challenges they have experienced, City Gateway have made it their mission to support young people to change their lives.
Based in East London, the charity provides English and maths qualifications, employability skills, wraparound coaching and mentoring support and workplace experiences to give young people the confidence and essential skills they need to secure a job or apprenticeship.
How Constructive Space are going to help
At Constructive Space, we have the privilege of working with numerous charities and not for profit organisations every year, helping them with the design and build of their workspaces in London and throughout the country.
Our Charity of the Year initiative, which has been running since 2017, is our way of giving back to a sector we’re so closely involved with.
Our main aim this year will be to raise a minimum of £15,000 for City Gateway to help fund more young people through the charity’s Route to Employment training and apprenticeship programme, whilst providing further exposure through our network.
A significant part of our fundraising efforts will be through our annual Charity Golf Day, this year returning to Coombe Hill Golf Club. Clients, suppliers, and contacts will join us for what is always a memorable day. Of course, not forgetting the auction and raffle to further close in on our target! The day is fully funded by our team with 100% of all money raised going directly to City Gateway.
